The Current Condition

The times that we are living have been marked with violence, hatred, and a lack of compassion or consideration for one another. People will slander and find fault with one another just to get a rise and be seen by others. There are times when some things are better left unsaid. Also, for someone to just make up an accusation just to create drama is absolutely wrong and there should be no place for such behavior.
-Exodus 23:1: Thou shalt not raise a false report: put not thine hand with the wicked to be an unrighteous witness.
There are some who are cruel and think it’s okay to say hateful things to another without giving a thought to the possible consequences of their actions. They think it’s okay to treat people this way, justifying their actions. The nation is deeply divided against itself. All you have to do is go onto most social media platforms, and you will see it. Some people will say some of the most vile, hateful, hurtful things, and don’t see it as a problem. They’ll post terrible, violent, despicable things. Most social media has become a toxic wasteland for such behavior. They’ll show their lack of compassion for others by posting insensitive remarks about them, even if something terrible has happened to that person. They’ll cheer, laugh, and make jokes at the other person’s expense. It’s sickening. The person they’re laughing at is a human being with feelings and a family. The people who laugh lack the empathy to understand what it would be like to be in the other person’s shoes, and yet, heaven forbid the same things happen to them. Then, it would be a travesty. They set double standards for themselves, thinking that it’s okay when an “enemy” is mistreated, but if it were them or a “friend” of theirs, oh, then, it’s a problem. When people can spew out threats to another person over a political difference, something’s not right. When laughing and making jokes about another person’s tragedy becomes the norm, something is terribly wrong. People need to wake up and think about the consequences of their actions. The Bible states that a kingdom that is divided against itself won’t stand.
-Mark 3:24: And if a kingdom be divided against itself, that kingdom will not stand.
Now, I know that this was in reference to when Jesus was addressing the scribes, who falsely accused Jesus of casting out devils by Beelzebub, the prince of devils, but would it not also apply to a nation? Look at the condition of the United States today. It’s more like the Divided States Of America. Unfortunately, it probably won’t get any better, as it seems that the times that we’re currently living in seem to line up with the end times.
-2 Timothy 3:1-5: This know also, that in the last days perilous days shall come.
For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy
Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good.
Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God;
Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.
-2 Timothy 3:13: But evil men and seducers will wax worse and worse, deceiving and being deceived.
